Cleaning designer dog beds effectively need not be a hassle when you take care to remember some points:
What does the manufacturer say?
Note carefully what the maker of the product says about cleaning. More often than not, designer dog beds need no fussy cleaning step. But just in case, see to it that you are not missing anything. It is also good to note this point whenever you are browsing the market for a new dog bed.
Choose an organic disinfectant.
There are tons of choices out there for an environment and pet-friendly cleaning product. Organic disinfectants and cleaning supplies almost always will be pet safe, so grab a bottle whenever you’re in a big supermarket.
Make your own cleaning solution.
Or you can make your own. Soapy water can be a standard cleaning agent for anyone, but it does not hurt to add a drop or two of scented oil your favourite dog deserves. Lavender usually calms the mind, while peppermint can give that sporty, bright feeling. Remember to use only a few drops in you cleaning pail – too much will hurt their sensitive noses.
Maximize your time.
Why not clean you designer dog bed together with other tasks, such as watering the plants, or washing the car? This way, you will save both on water and time. Dry the bed while the sun is still out- strong natural sunlight will kill of bacteria more effectively.
Whatever designer dog beds you have around and clean, it is important to clean them properly, with the right way and products. Clean them regularly and thoroughly to prevent any illnesses on you pet.
